Sidekick agent
What is a sidekick agent?
A sidekick agent is an AI agent that works with a person in real time, inside that person’s tools: the person asks, the agent answers or acts, and the person steers and decides at every turn.

Why it matters
Sidekicks help with varied, judgment-heavy work that someone is doing now. Because a person sees every output, mistakes are caught as they happen, but the work moves only while that person is there.
Example
While a deal desk analyst reviews a discount request, a sidekick runs the team’s three standard checks and drafts the summary for the approver. The analyst edits it and makes the call.
