Sandbox
What is a sandbox?
A sandbox is an isolated environment that limits what an AI agent can touch while it works, such as which files it can change and which networks it can reach.
Also called: Agent sandbox
Why it matters
A sandbox lets an agent work on its own inside safe limits, so a mistake or a malicious instruction can’t reach systems or data outside the boundary. Anything that would cross the boundary can require a person’s approval.
Example
A coding agent can edit files in its project folder and run tests, but it can’t reach the internet or change files anywhere else without asking first.
