Audit trail
What is an audit trail?
An audit trail is a record of what was done, by whom or by which agent, when, and with what inputs, kept so that any action can be reviewed and explained later.
Why it matters
When agents act inside real systems, you need to be able to show what happened and why. An audit trail also makes it possible to catch and undo mistakes.
Example
For each invoice it handles, the agent logs the documents it read, the checks it ran, the person who approved the entry, and the time it was posted.
