Staggered rollout
What is a staggered rollout?
A staggered rollout gives a new tool or process to teams in waves, in an order set in advance, so the teams still waiting can serve as a comparison group.
Also called: Phased rollout, Rollout in waves
Why it matters
It separates the effect of AI from everything else that changed at the same time, such as volumes, seasons and experience, without holding anyone back for long.
Example
A support organization gives an AI assistant to four regions a month apart, and compares each region’s change in resolution time with the regions still waiting.
