Rubric
What is a rubric?
A rubric is a list of specific checks, agreed by experts, that defines a correct result for a task, such as the right total, the right policy applied and the conflict flagged.
Also called: Grading rubric, Scoring rubric
Why it matters
A rubric turns “looks right” into checks that people, or an AI grader, can apply the same way every time. Specific yes-or-no checks are easier to agree on than an overall score.
Example
A rubric for a pricing exception checks that the discount is within policy, the approver is named, the margin impact is stated and the customer explanation cites the right contract term.
