Digital adoption platform (DAP)
What is a digital adoption platform?
A digital adoption platform (DAP) is software that adds help on top of a company’s applications, such as tooltips, step-by-step walkthroughs and checklists, and shows where people get stuck.
Also called: DAP
Why it matters
DAPs help people use more of the software a company already pays for, without leaving the app. AI is changing them: guides can be drafted from a prompt, and some DAPs now read the screen to offer help that nobody wrote in advance.
Example
When a sales rep opens a quote with a discount above policy, a walkthrough appears in the CRM and shows how to request approval.
